Don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all world.
1 Peter 4:12-13
Some days the burdens may seem so heavy and the weariness so profound that you may wonder if God has forsaken you. Why would He allow you to experience such deep adversity?
Yet do not despair He has a clear purpose for your suffering: so you will know the Savior better and reflect His character.
Friend, God is forming His very likeness in you so that the wonderful fruit of His spirit-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—will shine through you to His glory.
The good news is, your Savior Jesus knows exactly how you feel (Hebrews 2:17). And because He understands, He comfortingly and faithfully guides you through your time of brokenness. So trust Him to teach you and give you His joy.
Lord, thank You for forming Your character in me, will trust You in this trial and give You all the praise, amen.
In His presence… find joy in times of pain.
