Forget The What-Ifs

“Be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law… do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.”
Joshua, 1:7

You don’t have to be anyone other than who God created you to be. You don’t have to fear you’re inadequate. The Lord is with you and knows exactly how to help you.

This was certainly true for Joshua. When Moses died, Joshua understood that he would be responsible for leading the people of Israel into the promised land, where untold enemies and challenges awaited them. But what if the people didn’t trust him as they had Moses? What if he couldn’t handle the difficulties? What if Joshua couldn’t hear God as Moses did? What if he failed?

The “what-ifs” could have completely paralyzed Joshua with fear. Instead he overcame by heeding the Lord’s instruction and focusing on His provision.

You can too. God made you unique and placed you in these circumstances for a purpose. It’s His responsibility to lead you to victory. So forget the what-ifs. Obey Him and He will give you success.

Lord, I’ll focus on you. Thank You for teaching me and leading me to triumph, amen.

In His presence… leave the uncertainties to Him.
