I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised. PSALM 18:3
There may certainly be times when you find it challenging to praise God. Conflicts and burdens can weigh so heavily on your heart that worry and despair consume you.
But even during times of adversity, your Savior is worthy of your adoration. Jesus has not only given you eternal life (John 3:16) and conquered every challenge you face (John 16:33), but He loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3) and would never abandon you (Hebrews 13:5).
This is the very reason you must set aside time to know Him. Because when you meditate on His Word, you discover who He really is wonderful, holy, omnipotent, wise, and merciful God. And the better you know your loving Lord, the more you’ll want to exalt Him for who He is and all He’s done for you.
So what’s preventing you from praising God? Do your circumstances seem overwhelming? Then take a moment to be still before Him. Think about Jesus—His unconditional love, His unfailing friendship, and His wonderful plans for your life. Focus on Him. Soon enough, the praise will certainly flow.
Jesus, You are certainly worthy of my praise and adoration! To You be all the glory and honor! Amen.
In His presence… praise His name.
