VICTORY OVER SIN

God . . . will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out. 1 CORINTHIANS 10: 13 NLT

Do you realize the victory you have because of Jesus? As a believer, you have everything necessary to triumph over sin. How do you do so?

First, admit when something is a temptation and acknowledge that God can free you from it. When you’re willing to accept your vulnerability and choose to depend on the Lord, you’ve taken an important step toward victory.

Second, look at the big picture. Ask yourself, How will this affect my future? Will it distract me from God’s will?

Finally, recall the Father’s promises and set your mind on what honors Him. Temptations are often powerful because they play into your anxieties. Don’t allow disappointments and setbacks to lead you to sin. Trust that God can and will fulfill His word to you.

When you feel the lure of sin, conquer it by seeking the Savior. It won’t be easy, and sometimes deliverance will take time. But always seek to honor Him and He will certainly teach you how to overcome.

Lord, You know my struggles, but I’m confident You’ll help me overcome them. Thank You for the victory, amen.

In His presence . . . triumph over temptation.
