“I do believe; help my unbelief.” MARK 9: 24
Today you may feel as if your hope has failed—your faith is gone. You are trying to cling to God’s promises, but the pain continues to return and you wonder if He’s really going to come through for you when you’re so weak.
Yet understand—the fact that you are turning to the Father is evidence of the faith necessary for victory. You still believe He has the answers and will help you (Hebrews 11: 6). Good!
The focus of your faith should never be about how strong you are but about your utter dependence on God—who has the outcome under His control (2 Corinthians 12: 9). The question is always: Will you trust Him, even in this? Will you choose to believe that no matter how confusing or excruciating this is, He is still sovereign and will cause “all things to work together for good” (Romans 8: 28)?
Friend, you don’t have to be strong, you just have to be His (2 Timothy 2: 13). So declare your trust in the Lord and obey Him. Believe—for He will certainly bring your unbelief to an end.
Lord, I will trust You. You are the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Thank You for helping me, amen.
In His presence . . . cling to Him in faith.
