SUBMISSION IN MEDITATION

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
JAMES 4: 10 NKJV

If there is rebellion in your heart and you insist on having your own way, you will most likely find it very difficult to meditate. You won’t want to be alone with God because He will expose the issues of your life that you prefer to keep hidden. Every time you go before Him, He will insist that you deal with the sin. Eventually you must either agree with Him and have your relationship restored or you’ll quit going to Him altogether.

Friend, when you refuse to deal with a problem God has pinpointed, you don’t lose your standing with Him— you are still saved. But your fellowship with Him is broken.

Don’t miss out on a relationship with the Father because of sin and pride. Repent. Agree that you’ve been wrong and that He is right. Allow Him to free you from the stronghold. And enjoy the wonderful rewards of spending time alone with God, thinking about Him, obeying Him, and praising His holy name.

Lord, forgive me of my sins! I don’t want anything to come between us. Thank You for forgiving me and drawing me back into Your presence, amen.

In His presence . . . confess any rebellion and run to His arms.
