“Worthy are You … for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.” REVELATION 5:9
Do you long for a glimpse of heaven? The Lord allowed the apostle John to see the glories of heaven, and what he found was that first and foremost, it is a place of praise for the One who bought our salvation.
Of course, when John saw his risen Savior, he was overwhelmed by a desire to worship. And he wasn’t alone. John reported seeing myriads of angels, living creatures, and elders saying, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive . . . honor and glory and blessing” (Revelation 5: 11– 12).
Take this to heart today as you think about your Savior. When you are called to stand in His presence, everything else—even the troubles that appear overwhelming today—will seem small and insignificant in comparison. There will be only one desire in your heart: to bow down and worship your Savior.
Friend, you can enjoy a glimpse of heaven here and now. Enter God’s presence with a grateful, worshipful heart as you meditate on His goodness to you.
Jesus, thank You for Your salvation and goodness to me. I worship You, my beloved Redeemer, amen.
In His presence . . . worship Him unreservedly.
