Once you become a Christian, what does God require of you? How does the Lord want you to live with Him and in relationship with others?

You find answers to these questions by reading God’s Word. Begin by meditating on the Gospels—especially the book of John. Get to know who Jesus is. Enjoy His presence. Understand His character, His words, His mission, and His profound love for you.

And then read the Psalms. You’ll discover that David experienced many of the hardships and challenges that you do, asked similar questions, and felt the same intense emotions. You’ll realize that you are not alone in your difficulties and worries, and that God can and will meet you where you are.

Friend, no matter what you’re struggling with today, seek the kingdom of God. In other words, learn how the Lord operates. Because as you begin to read Scripture and absorb it into your life, the Holy Spirit will move to fill your heart with more of Himself and will give you the answers you need.

Jesus, help me seek You first always. I trust that You have the answer to every question in my heart, amen.
