Sometimes it’s difficult to know who to go to with your troubles. Who can understand your unique challenges, respond with wisdom, and help you in a meaningful way?

In a sense, this was the purpose of the Old Testament priesthood. These godly men were called to represent the people to God and help others understand the Lord’s wisdom, character, and direction. However, like all sinful, limited human beings, they often fell short.

But when Jesus came into the world, He became a High Priest unlike any other. He understands your situation perfectly because He knows you better than you know yourself. He is all-knowing, wise, and powerful enough to help you regardless of what you face. But best of all, He not only represents you to God—He is God, with every resource in existence at His disposal. He lovingly provides exactly what you need.

Friend, others may fail you, but Jesus never will. So seek Him and be assured you will find wisdom and mercy in abundance at His throne of grace.

Jesus, thank You for being my perfect High Priest, regardless of the challenge, amen.
