Believing and Declaring this Truth Daily

Believing and declaring the truth is experiencing it. Start your morning devotional with believing and declaring that the life of Christ will be the one living in you on that day, that the Holy Spirit will remind you when a need arises and lead you to declare it by your faith and from the heart. This needs to be done daily and not once a month, for your life depends on your living-faith. Reject Satan when he says “that’s OK, you can forget it today, nothing will happen.” That is not true, something bad will happen: you will slowly become dull to the voice of the Spirit. During the day, whenever a sin attacks you, say the truth of God and repeatedly and believingly declare it until you are free from that attack. Many do not heed this truth and failure abounds. Let us look at an example of anger and impatience.

When anger and impatience start arising within you for a given situation, immediately and believingly say from your whole heart something like this: “I am dead to anger and alive to patience. I am dead to sin and to my sin nature but alive to God. The life of Jesus is alive in me. Jesus Christ is my life. His fullness is mine, His full patience is my life”; and continue: “I proclaim this truth of God against Satan and against my sin nature. Jesus IS my life and my salvation. In the Name and authority of my Savior I bind this anger and the impatience coming up within me, I bind and cast them out from me in the Name of Jesus. My flesh has no power over me, it was crucified on the cross of Jesus. The victory of Christ is my victory, and He is living in me. In the power of my Almighty God, I deny and reject my sinful nature, my anger and my impatience. I yield and give my nature to the cross of Jesus. Christ’s life is now living in me in full. Thank you Lord for your deliverance from the power of my nature. Praise you Lord.”  You may have to repeat this kind of prayer for several times, filling yourself with this truth about anger and impatience, and every other day when the flesh comes up. The attacks will come again later in a different way, however, the mighty power of God, the power of resurrection life, is living within you.

Make a habit of this step of daily believing: “In Christ, I am dead to anger and alive to patience.” Every day, fill your consciousness with this truth of God by repeating, believing and declare it.  Declare it and claim it against Satan. By it, you would be feeding your spirit and denying your flesh in the power of God. By repeatedly dong this declaration of God’s truth you are doing this: “The weapons we fight with have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Cor. 10: 3-6)

Warning: If you do not actively believe the truth that “you are dead to anger and alive to patience,” you would be allowing a “demonic stronghold” to come into your life. You would be allowing self-life to go on living, that is, allowing “an argument of flesh to exalt itself against God.” You would be allowing your flesh and human nature to live freely and rule you. When the need arises, believing and declaring the truth “I am dead to anger and alive to patience,” is “demolishing and taking captive high things or arguments that exalting themself against God.” We only declare God’s truth. Declaring God’s truth is directed towards you, the world, and Satan. Do not listen to your rationalizations, they are coming from the self-life.

Never go into your daily life without actually taking few moments in your morning devotionals and claiming the victory of the cross in your life; this step is highly significant and necessary for you. Your sin nature was crucified with Christ; it was and is real and a literal fact. So, make a habit of this step of daily believing. Fill your consciousness with this truth by repeating, believing and declare it.  This is needed for your daily life, do not listen to rationalizations of your sin nature, reject and bind Satan and all his accusations in the Name and authority of your Lord Jesus Christ, who IS your life.

“Putting off the old man and putting on the new man” must be done believingly and purposefully, every day and every moment needed. This “every day and every moment” aspect of the truth has difficulty entering into our hearts, we are not convinced that self or the old man is totally sinful and evil, and we hide behind business of our regular life. Many are indifferent and uncaring towards changing their life, they have tried their everything and have failed and now they are very tired, and are not willing to do anything. They failed because they did it in their own strength and self-effort, without total dependence on Christ.  We do not recognize that self-life including its expressions of selfishness, self-dependence, and self-trust, are all sins – our own sins – and totally sinful. We do not recognize our sins, we do not believe that they are exceedingly sinful (Rom 7). We are not convinced that our own personal sins, especially sins of not caring and not loving, are always sinful and evil; ignorance abounds. When the life of the Spirit abounds, ignorance disappears.

Christ IS my life.  I have been crucified with Christ. I live yet not I but Christ lives in me by faith. He was given to live His life in me. Surrender your life to this truth. It is your salvation.
