Psalm 27:14
David faced such delays, God promised David would become a king of Israel (1 Samuel 16). But David waited more than two decades and endured many trials before he took the throne (2 Samuel) though it was just within his grasp (1 Samuel 24:26). Yet ever David recognized this was for the development of his character (Psalm 119:71).
This is why David could confidently counsel, “Wait for the LORD. He knew that no matter how long it took, God would faithfully fulfill His promise.
Friend, the Father hasn’t forgotten you or denied your request. But He won’t allow this opportunity to pass without work faith into your soul. Every moment of delay is a chance to express your trust in His unfailing character and for Him to develop yours. So be strong. Trust Him. And wait for the Lord.
In His presence… wait expectantly.
