“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.”
JOSHUA 1:8 NKJV
Meditation is the foundation of obedient, victorious living. Of course, many don’t see the benefits of focusing on Scripture and the Lord’s character in this secular world where strife and competition reign. Yet it is in the midst of such constant turmoil that the believer finds the greatest need to sit quietly before the Father—so he can identify God’s voice above the commotion and find victory over the trials that assail him.
Therefore, the Father calls not just preachers but all His children to focus on Him daily. He wants us to better relate to Him and triumph in the challenges of life.
Friend, personal meditation isn’t difficult. It begins when you simply get alone with the Lord and sit quietly before Him. So don’t wait any longer. Focus on the Father. Listen to His voice, be filled with His peace, and find His direction and purpose for your life.
Lord, help me set aside my daily stresses and give You first place in my life. Fill my mind and heart with Your truth and wisdom, amen.
In His presence . . . find direction.
