VICTORY IN LIFE ’S CHALLENGES

“We have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
2 CHRONICLES 20:12 NIV

Jehoshaphat had a choice to make. In 2 Chronicles 20, we read how the enormous armies of the Moabites, Ammonites, and Meunites defied the nation of Israel with one intention: to destroy the people of God. But instead of plotting their survival, Jehoshaphat chose to lead the people in a prayer that confessed their total dependence on the Lord. He was wise enough to know that his nation wouldn’t survive without God’s intervention.

Likewise, you may encounter situations when you feel like there aren’t any options—defeat is certain. This is because the enemy wants to dishearten you and make you ineffective for God. Don’t listen to him. You should always do as Jehoshaphat did and turn to the Lord for the victory.

So when challenges come, don’t run away in fear. Go to the Savior in prayer. Humble yourself before Him. Confess your inability to handle the situation and how much you need Him. Then trust God to do the impossible in your situation and lead you to triumph.

Father, thank You for leading me in the path to victory, amen.

In His presence . . . trust God regardless of your circumstances.
