STATEMENT OF FAITH 

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is fully inspired by God, that it is entirely trustworthy and is our guide for faith and life.

God
We believe that God is the loving Creator of all that exists, both seen and unseen. God is eternal and completely good, knowing all things, having all power and majesty. God exists eternally as the Trinity, in three persons, yet one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus
We believe that God expressed Himself in human form through Jesus Christ. Jesus was born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. We believe He was crucified for the sins of us all, rose again from the dead, and ascended to heaven.

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, sent from God to live in all who believe in Jesus, teaches, comforts, and empowers us, giving each follower of Jesus diverse gifts for serving in the church and serving others in the world. We believe that it is through the Holy Spirit that we change and develop a holy life and Jesus-like character.

Salvation
We believe that all people are created with dignity and great value in the image of God. That people were created to live in a thriving relationship with God. However, through our sin (failing to live by God’s moral standards), we break our intended relationship with God and we experience the sad consequences of that broken relationship, both spiritually and socially. However, because of God’s love for us, He sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us from those consequences and to restore our broken relationship with God, through Jesus´ death on the cross, a perfect act of redemption for each of us. We receive the free gift of forgiveness and are spiritually reborn through repenting (changing our mind and heart) of our sin and placing faith in Jesus alone.

The Church
We believe that the Church is comprised of any person, anywhere in the world who puts faith in Jesus. The Church itself is people who are empowered by God’s Spirit to be part of the mission of Jesus here on earth. The Church is one global community, but has smaller, local expressions, such as Capital Christian Center. Each local church expression has a unique personality and we see beauty in that diversity. We believe that the Church does not exist for itself, but exists as a community of worshipers who are here to serve others, as we bring the love and hope of Jesus to the world around us.

Sanctification
Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God’s Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ’s character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

Afterlife and End Times
We believe there are a literal heaven and hell and that one day Jesus will return, although we approach the topics of the afterlife and end times with great mystery and wonder.

Sacraments 
Water Baptism: Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Communion/The Lord’s Supper: A unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross.

Healing of the Sick
Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. It is given as a sign, which is to follow believers. It is also a part of Jesus’ work on the cross and one of the gifts of the Spirit.

Resurrection
Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. In addition, both the saved and the lost will be resurrected; those that are saved to the resurrection of life and those that are lost to the resurrection of eternal damnation.

Heaven
Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Hell
After living one life on earth, the unbelievers will be judged by God and sent to hell where they will be eternally tormented with the devil and the fallen angels.

Second Coming
Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures.

Մենք հավատում ենք, որ Աստվածաշունչն ամբողջությամբ ներշնչված է Աստծո կողմից, որ այն հավիտենապես արժանահավատ (հուսալի) է և մեր ուղեցույցն է հավատի և կյանքի համար:

Աստված
Մենք հավատում ենք, որ Աստված սիրող Արարիչն է գոյություն ունեցող բոլոր բաների, թե՛ տեսանելի, թե՛ անտեսանելի: Աստված հավիտենական է և կատարելապես բարի, Նա ամեն բան գիտի, և ողջ զորությունն ու մեծությունը Նրան է պատկանում: Աստված հավիտենապես գոյություն ունի որպես Երրորդություն՝ երեք անձ, սակայն մեկ Աստված՝ Հայր, Որդի և Սուրբ Հոգի:

Հիսուս
Մենք հավատում ենք, որ Աստված Ինքն Իրեն հայտնեց մարդկային տեսքով՝ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի միջոցով: Հիսուսը ծնվեց կույս Մարիամից և ապրեց անմեղ կյանք: Մենք հավատում ենք, որ Նա խաչվեց մեր բոլորի մեղքերի համար, հարություն առավ մեռելներից և համբարձվեց երկինք:

Սուրբ Հոգի
Մենք հավատում ենք, որ Սուրբ Հոգին, որին Աստված ուղարկեց բնակվելու բոլոր նրանց մեջ, ովքեր հավատում են Հիսուսին, ուսուցանում, մխիթարում և զորացնում է մեզ, Հիսուսի յուրաքանչյուր հետևորդի տալով տարբեր պարգևներ՝ ծառայելու եկեղեցում և աշխարհում եղած մարդկանց: Մենք հավատում ենք, որ Սուրբ Հոգու միջոցով է, որ մենք վերափոխվում ենք և Քրիստոսակերպ բնավորություն ու սուրբ կյանք ձեռք բերում:

Փրկություն
Մենք հավատում ենք, որ բոլոր մարդիկ ստեղծված են Աստծո պատկերով՝ արժանապատվությամբ և մեծ արժեքով: Մարդիկ ստեղծվեցին, որպեսզի ապրեն Աստծո հետ օրհնյալ փոխհարաբերության մեջ: Բայցևայնպես, մեղքի (Աստծո բարոյական չափանիշներով չապրելը) միջոցով մենք խախտեցինք Աստծո հետ մեր նպատակադրված փոխ հարաբերությունը և կրեցինք այդ խախտված փոխհարաբերոթյան վատ հետևանքները՝ թե՛ հոգևոր, թե՛ սոցիալական: Բայցևայնպես, մեր հանդեպ ունեցած Իր սիրո պատճառով Աստված ուղարկեց Իր Որդուն՝ Հիսուսին, որպեսզի խաչի վրա Նրա մահվան միջոցով մեզ ազատագրի այդ վատ հետևանքներից և վերականգնի Աստծո հետ մեր խախտված փոխհարաբերությունը, որպես փրկագործության կատարյալ քայլ մեզնից յուրաքանչյուրի համար: Մենք ստանում ենք ներման անհատույց պարգևը և մեր մեղքերից ապաշխարելու և միայն Հիսուսին հավատալու միջոցով վերստին ծնվում (մտքի և սրտի փոփոխություն):

Եկեղեցի
Մենք հավատում ենք, որ Եկեղեցին կազմված է աշխարհի այն բոլոր մարդկանցից, ովքեր սրտանց հավատում են Հիսուսին: Եկեղեցին հանդիսանում է ժողովուրդ, որոնք զորություն են ստացել Սուրբ Հոգուց՝ լինելու Հիսուսի առաքելության մի մասը երկրի վրա: Եկեղեցին համատիեզերական համայնք է, սակայն ունի փոքր տեղական դրսևորումներ, ինչպիսին է օրինակ Տիրոջ Տուն Ծառայությունը: Յուրաքանչյուր տեղական եկեղեցի ունի իր առանձնահատկությունը, և մենք գեղեցկություն ենք տեսնում այդ բազմազանության մեջ: Մենք հավատում ենք, որ Եկեղեցին գոյություն ունի ոչ թե իր համար, այլ որպես համայնք՝ Աստծուն երկրպագողների համար, որոնք այստեղ են մարդկանց ծառայելու և Հիսուսի սերն ու հույսը մեզ շրջապատող աշխարհին տանելու համար:

Սրբացում
Սրբացումն Աստծո Խոսքին ու Նրա Հոգուն նվիրվելու շարունակական գործընթաց է Քրիստոսի բնավորությունը մեր մեջ կատարելապես զարգացնելու համար: Սուրբ Հոգու և Աստծո Խոսքի ներկայիս ծառայության շնորհիվ է, որ հավատացյալներն ի վիճակի են լինում հոգևոր կյանք ապրել:

Հանդերձյալ կյանք և վերջին ժամանակներ
Մենք հավատում ենք, որ բառացիորեն կա դրախտ և դժոխք, և որ մի օր Հիսուսը վերադառնալու է, թեև հանդերձյալ կյանքի և վերջին ժամանակների թեմաներին մենք մոտենում ենք մեծ խորհրդավորությամբ և զգուշությամբ:

Սուրբ Խորհուրդներ
Ջրի մկրտություն․ Տեր Հիսուս Քրիստոսին հավատալուց հետո նորադարձն Աստծո Խոսքից պատվեր ունի ջրով մկրտվելու Հոր, Որդու և Սուրբ Հոգու անունով։

Հաղորդություն/Տիրոջ Ընթրիք․ սա Աստծո ներկայության մեջ հատուկ մի հաղորդակցության ժամանակ է, երբ հացն ու խաղողի հյութը (Տեր Հիսուս Քրիստոսի Մարմինն ու Արյունը) վայելում ենք ի հիշատակ խաչի վրա կատարած Նրա զոհաբերության։

Հիվանդների բժշկություն
Հիվանդների բժշկությունը երևում է Հիսուսի կյանքի և ծառայության մեջ և ներառված է առաքյալներին ուղղված Հիսուսի հանձնարարականի մեջ։ Դա տրված է որպես նշան, որ պետք է հետևի հավատացյալներին։ Դա նաև խաչի վրա կատարած Հիսուսի գործի մի մասն է և Սուրբ Հոգու պարգևներից մեկը։

Հարություն
Հիսուս Քրիստոսը փառավորված մարմնով ֆիզիկապես հարություն առավ մեռելներից խաչի վրա մահանալուց երեք օր հետո։ Ի հավելումն, թե՛ փրկվածները, թե՛ կորսվածները, երկուսն էլ հարություն կառնեն․ փրկվածները՝ կյանքի հարության համար, իսկ կորսվածները՝ հավիտենական դատապարտության հարության։

Երկինք

Դժոխք
Երկրի վրա մեկ կյանք ապրելուց հետո անհավատները կդատվեն Աստծո կողմից ու կուղարկվեն դժոխք, որտեղ նրանք հավիտենապես կտանջվեն սատանայի և անկյալ հրեշտակների հետ։

Երկրորդ գալուստ
Հիսուս Քրիստոսը ֆիզիկապես և տեսանելի կերպով երկրորդ անգամ գալու է երկիր՝ հաստատելու Իր Թագավորությունը։ Դա տեղի կունենա այնպիսի ժամանակ, որի մասին Սուրբ Գիրքը ոչ մի հստակ բան չի ասում։
